Youth

Welcome to CSV Youth!

CSV Youth is our teens ministry for students in 7th - 12th grade.

We believe the teen years are critically important for faith formation and learning to live for God in a culture that is often contrary to what the Bible teaches. Our goal is to strengthen students in their Biblical knowledge and in their commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord. We believe in relational discipleship, where our leaders are focused on building strong relationships with students to help them build strong relationships with each other and with God.

Sunday Afternoons - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Open Gym after Youth from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Every Week (optional)

Students arrive at the Festival Foothills Elementary School gym and enjoy food & fellowship with each other and their leaders. Next, is our time of worship where a praise band is on stage leading our youth in giving their hearts to God by coming before Him with singing. After worship, we play a game to incorporate fun, healthy competition, teamwork, and silliness. This serves as a needed break to foster community and friendship. Following our game time, students receive a Bible message by Associate Pastor & Youth Ministry Leader Pat Miller or Lead Pastor Daniel Scott (will alternate every other week), using our Deep Discipleship curriculum that focuses on the 8 Roots of Discipleship. We sing another worship song together following the message so students have an opportunity to respond to hearing God’s Word. Finally, we break out into our “D-Groups”, which are discussion & discipleship groups. These groups meet by age and gender with leaders who are equipped to connect with students and support their growth & faith journey through a guided discussion that is connected to the message they received. D-groups also pray together.

AWANA - We encourage all of our youth to participate in AWANA Thursday evenings during the school year from 6:15-8:00 p.m. AWANA provides teens with a weekly devotional resource for students to complete throughout the week at home that is designed to teach them the Bible, develop their prayer life, and encourage Scripture memorization. On AWANA evenings, youth meet in middle school and high school clubs to receive a Bible teaching, discuss their devotional work in small groups, and play AWANA games all together in the gym for fun and physical exercise.

An Opportunity to Serve God

Our youth are encouraged to use their gifts and abilities by serving at church while their parents are attending their worship service. Childcare, CSV Kids, and Audio Visual are just a few examples of great ways for our youth to get involved! There is also opportunity for youth and/or their parents to receive Biblical counsel and prayer during this time as needed from Pastor Pat or from another trusted leader.
