CSV's One on One Discipleship

Equipping Believers to Live and Share Their Faith

Jesus' final instructions to His followers were clear:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
— Matthew 28:19-20

The Great Commission is not simply a call to gain knowledge about Christ—it is a call to make disciples by teaching people to obey and live out everything Jesus commanded. This is the heart of biblical discipleship.

Our One-on-One Discipleship process is designed to help believers grow in a vibrant, practical, and transformational relationship with Jesus Christ. Through intentional meetings with another believer, participants walk through an 18-lesson curriculum that explores foundational truths of the Christian faith and how those truths apply to everyday life.

What Does the Curriculum Cover?

The curriculum consists of 18 lessons covering key areas of Christian growth and discipleship, including topics such as:

The Character and Nature of God
Faith and Trust
Prayer
The Holy Spirit
The Word of God
Obedience and Lordship
Forgiveness
Christian Fellowship
Stewardship
Evangelism
Making Disciples

Each lesson combines Scripture study, discussion, reflection, and practical application, helping participants move beyond simply knowing biblical truths to living them out.

A Living Faith

One of the foundational definitions of faith used throughout this discipleship process is:

Faith is living as though the Bible is true, regardless of circumstances, emotions, or cultural trends.

Biblical faith is much more than intellectual agreement or head knowledge. God calls us to a living faith—a faith that transforms the way we think, speak, make decisions, handle relationships, use our resources, and respond to life's challenges.

Because of this, a central question is woven throughout the discipleship journey:

"If I were living as though these Bible verses are true, how would I be living?"

This question helps move Scripture from information to transformation. As participants honestly wrestle with God's Word and apply it to real-life situations, they often experience significant spiritual growth and life change.

More Than a Curriculum

While the lessons provide a strong biblical foundation, the discipleship process itself is equally valuable. Meeting consistently with one other person creates an environment of encouragement, accountability, and meaningful conversation.

As participants share their experiences, struggles, victories, and questions, genuine friendships often develop. Many people finish the process not only with a deeper understanding of God's Word but also with a lasting relationship built through intentional time together.

Equipped to Make Disciples

One of the greatest challenges many Christians face is feeling unprepared to disciple someone else. They may desire to fulfill the Great Commission but lack confidence or a practical framework for helping others grow in their faith.

The goal of this One-on-One Discipleship process is not merely to complete a curriculum—it is to equip believers to make disciples themselves.

By the end of the process, participants have experienced biblical discipleship firsthand and have a practical tool they can use to guide others through the same journey. In this way, disciples become disciple-makers, carrying out Christ's command to "teach them to observe all that I have commanded you."

Through this simple but powerful process, believers are equipped to fulfill the Great Commission, strengthen the Church, and help others develop a living, life-changing faith in Jesus Christ. Are you ready?
